Our Philosophy
Every dog deserves to look their very best and be pampered in a safe, stress free environment. At Fur Babies each dog is treated with respect and kindness and tender loving care.
We are committed to using gentle grooming techniques that are meant to preserve coat. Our natural products heal, soothe and add body and shine. Sedatives are never used and we prefer hand-scissoring and trimming over shave-downs
Limited Dogs Per Day
This creates a happy and stress free environment so each dog is given ample time to be properly groomed. We believe in quality not quantity. We take great pride in making your Fur Baby look beautiful and feel great.
The Puppy
It is very important to start a grooming schedule for puppies early. In fact they can start as early as 14 weeks. When you start a grooming schedule early, it becomes a part of life for them, and not a stressful experience.
We take the time to show them all the equipment before grooming. In many cases their first groom is a bath, nail trim, ear cleaning and a little trim. With the many years of experience we know how to be gentle, kind and extremely patient. The extra time that is taken with young pups is very important and is something we take very seriously. Puppies are our future.
Experience
Shona Wise and Denise Parkes met at the beginning of their careers and have remained close friends and colleagues. Grooming has been their passion for over 20 years.
In November 2004 they once again joined forces to open Fur Babies, the exclusive upscale grooming salon. They believe that there are people who have been looking for creative stylists that will treat their fur baby with respect and kindness.
Fur-tography
What better time to take your Fur Baby's picture than when they are looking their best. The photos are taken using our unique hand painted wall mural as a background and most photos are printed on site. There is no sitting fee when your dog is groomed the same day.
